1. Applications
ACSR is mainly used as bare overhead transmission cable and as primary and secondary distribution cable. It is also suitable for laying across basins, rivers and valleys where special geographical teatures exist.
2. Features
ACSR offers optimal strength for line design. Variable steel core stranding enables desired strength to be achieved without sacrificing ampacity. I is low cost for the line and large transmission capacity. In order to foster the prevention of corrosion, the non-oxidizing grease can be fully or partially applied to ACSR.
3. Construction
ACSR consists of steel core and aluminum wires. The aluminum wires are concentrically stranded around the steel core.
4. Standard
ACSR can be produced in accordance with all the recognized international standards, such as IEC 61089, BS215, ASTM B232, DIN48204, CSA C49, JIS C3110.
